The latest data from DNV’s Alternative Fuels Insight (AFI) platform has revealed that there are now more 1,000 vessels fitted with battery-power installations.
The data collected on battery-powered vessels, which was compiled in collaboration with the Maritime Battery Forum, showed that there are now a total of 1,006 ships as of June 2023, with 769 existing vessels and a further 237 on-order.
