Low emissions vessel engines unveiled to cut owner fuel costs

During the recent Seawork Exhibition in Southampton, Mermaid Marine Products became the first organization to receive a new, DNV-certified diesel tugboat engine from AGCO Power Oy.

The newly developed 74 LFEN-M engines will power a range of 155-201 kW with an after-treatment system for compliance with IMO Tier III and European Union Stage V emissions requirements.

The 74 LFEN-M engines are part of a range of new vessel engines being developed across the sector.
