DNV on IMO MEPC 81: Negotiations on New GHG Reduction Requirements Continue’

Following on from the 81st meeting of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) headquarters in London, DNV has published a summary document of the session.

The technical regulatory paper, ‘IMO MEPC 81: Negotiations on New GHG Reduction Requirements Continue’, provides an overview of the topics addressed at the gathering, which focused on the ongoing discussions around greenhouse gas (GHG) fuel intensity requirements and a GHG pricing mechanism.

The document also includes recommendations for customers based on meeting outcomes.
