MacGregor Step Challenge – Moving more for our mental health. Well-being at work aims to support employees, their well-being and work-life balance. Mental health is integral to our overall health and wellbeing, and research shows that regular physical activity is beneficial for helping reduce stress, increasing our energy levels and boosting our mood.
As a part of the new well-being at work initiative, we launched a step challenge to encourage our people to invest in overall wellbeing and incorporate movement into their daily lives. Challenge went live last week and during that time we have already walked over 14 000 000 steps and almost 10 000 kilometres, which is over 50% of our original goal. Challenge lasts until the 11th of June and we aim to walk across various MacGregor locations around the world from Aberdeen all the way to Singapore and onwards. Over 400 of our employees are taking part in the challenge to get moving together both for physical and mental health.
