Η Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp. έχει συνάψει δύο οριστικές συμφωνίες με μη συνδεδεμένα τρίτα μέρη στην Ιαπωνία για την αγορά ενός πλοίου Newcastlemax ιαπωνικής κατασκευής και μιας ναύλωσης bareboat με υποχρέωση αγοράς για ένα πλοίο Capesize ιαπωνικής κατασκευής, για περίπου 69 εκατομμύρια δολάρια.
Το Newcastlemax κατασκευάστηκε το 2013 στο Imabari Shipbuilding, Saijo Shipyard, και έχει ικανότητα μεταφοράς φορτίου περίπου 207.851 τόνων νεκρού βάρους (dwt).
Το πλοίο θα μετονομαστεί σε Meiship και αναμένεται να παραδοθεί εντός του πρώτου τριμήνου του 2025, υπό τους συνήθεις όρους κλεισίματος, είπε ο Έλληνας εφοπλιστής.
Το Capesize κατασκευάστηκε το 2011 στο Mitsui SB και έχει χωρητικότητα 178.459 dwt.
Σύμφωνα με τους όρους της εξάμηνης ναύλωσης bareboat με μη συνδεδεμένο τρίτο μέρος στην Ιαπωνία, η Seanergy προέβη σε προκαταβολή 4 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων και θα πληρώσει επιπλέον 4 εκατομμύρια δολάρια κατά την παράδοση του πλοίου στην εταιρεία, καθώς και καθημερινά τιμή bareboat 9.750 $ κατά την περίοδο ναύλωσης.
Το σκάφος θα μετονομαστεί σε Blueship και αναμένεται να παραδοθεί εντός του πρώτου τριμήνου του 2025.
Στο τέλος της εξάμηνης περιόδου bareboat, η Seanergy έχει υποχρέωση να αγοράσει το σκάφος για 22,5 εκατομμύρια δολάρια.
Η τιμή αγοράς για τα δύο πλοία αναμένεται να χρηματοδοτηθεί με συνδυασμό μετρητών και εσόδων από πιστωτικές διευκολύνσεις που θα επιδιώξει να συνάψει η εταιρεία.

Seanergy Maritime Expands Fleet with Two Japanese Ships: One
Newcastlemax Vessel and One Capesize Vessel
Glyfada, Greece – Seanergy Maritime Holdings Corp. (the “Company” or “Seanergy”) (NASDAQ: SHIP) announced today that it has entered into two definitive agreements with unaffiliated third parties in Japan for (i) the purchase of a Japanese-built Newcastlemax vessel and (ii) a bareboat charter
with a purchase obligation for one Japanese-built Capesize vessel. The total acquisition cost is approximately $69.0 million.
Acquisition of a Japanese Newcastlemax Vessel
The Newcastlemax was built in 2013 at Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Saijo Shipyard, a reputable Japanese shipyard, and has a cargo-carrying capacity of approximately 207,851 deadweight tons (“dwt”).
The vessel will be renamed “Meiship” and is expected to be delivered within the first quarter of 2025,
subject to customary closing conditions.
Acquisition of a Japanese Capesize Vessel through Bareboat Charter Agreement
The Capesize was built in 2011 at Mitsui SB and has a capacity of 178,459 dwt. Pursuant to the terms of
the 6-month bareboat charter with an unaffiliated third party in Japan, Seanergy has advanced a down payment of $4.0 million and will pay an additional $4.0 million upon delivery of the vessel to the Company,
as well as a daily bareboat rate of $9,750 over the charter period. The vessel will be renamed “Blueship” and is expected to be delivered within the first quarter of 2025. At the end of the 6-month bareboat period,
Seanergy has an obligation to purchase the vessel for $22.5 million.
The purchase price for the two vessels is expected to be funded with a combination of cash on hand and proceeds from credit facilities the Company will seek to enter into Stamatis Tsantanis, the Company’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, stated:
