We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will support the monitoring and analysis of the fleet’s operational performance, contributing to Neptune Lines’ commitment to efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to Operations Senior Manager, key accountabilities include:
- Prepare and distribute operational reports with daily vessel positioning.
- Monitor fleet performance using KPIs, identifying variances against schedule and budget, and flagging inefficiencies.
- Assisting in the preparation of the departmental annual budget and subsequent revisions.
- Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing fleet efficiency, sustainability performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Technical, Commercial) to ensure alignment and timely information flow.
- Maintain records, databases, and reporting tools.
Required qualifications:
- University degree in Maritime Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar operational role or analytical role within the shipping industry.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Greek and English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with a hands-on and collaborative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, data visualization, macros).
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance frameworks in shipping (MRV, DCS, ETS, FuelEU) will be an advantage
