The first DNV approved dual concentric modular system for cable repair is to be delivered by Osbit after the UK-headquartered company was awarded a contract by Dutch subsea solutions company N-Sea Group.
The full agreement is for a suite of equipment to enable the repair and lay of offshore cable and is made up of a novel dual concentric carousel, a tower with loading arms and an ergonomic power and control cabin.
The system will be engineered, built and installed in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, with delivery scheduled for Q2, 2024.
