The program is designed to develop recent graduates and young professionals equipped with the skills, knowledge and expertise required for a successful career in the demanding and highly competitive world of shipping.

SNAME Greek Section in collaboration with MAN ES, offers five (5) scholarships for ME-C Control System Standard Operation” Course within 2024 Academy Curriculum for SNAME Members.
As a global lead provider, MAN ES mission is to offer premium solutions in education to support Shipping Professionals around the globe to operate with maximum efficiency and safety to successfully maintain their engines and equipment.
The introduction of the electronically controlled camshaft-less low-speed diesel engines is proceeding rapidly, with many ME engines ordered, and consequently, many ME engines entering service. It is the need of the hour to train the Marine Engineer in the safe operation and maintenance of the electronically controlled low speed diesel engine. Training is carried out on a complete ME simulator so that the participants can get realistic hands-on training.
- ICS Professional Maritime Programme

SNAME Greek Section in collaboration with ICS Greek Branch, offers one (1) full scholarship for the next academic year for the ICS Professional Maritime Programme!
The ICS Professional Maritime Programme is an 1-year professional course which has been designed to meet the international shipping industry’s needs. The curriculum is taught by professionals of the shipping market and provides the participants with an excellent basis for career development and immediate implementation to the working environment.
Through the Course, participants sit for the ICS Professional Qualifying Examinations, which lead to ICS Membership, the only internationally recognized professional qualification within the shipping sector.
- General Scholarships for Academic Pursuits

The scholarships refer to SNAME Members that in the upcoming academic year 2024-2025 will be enrolled in:

Undergraduate Programs,
2. Postgraduate Master Programs,
3. or PhD Candidates.
The amount and extent of each scholarship depends and each request is to be judged on a case-by-case basis.
Application Process for All Scholarships
Submit a Letter of Interest for Application (Motivation Letter) and an updated Resume to snamegreeksection@sname.org.
The Scholarships Program is open exclusively to SNAME Members in good standing.
Prior engagement in SNAME activities, age, and expertise will be considered an asset.
Further documentation may be requested after the initial screening, followed by a standard personal interview.
The evaluation and final selection of scholars will be conducted by the respective Scholarship Committees.
