We are excited to announce that Panos Mitrou, Global Gas Segment Director at Lloyd’s Register, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Global Gas Centre, succeeding René Bautz. This marks a significant new chapter for the GGC, and we couldn’t be more excited about the journey ahead!
With 19 years of experience at Lloyd’s Register, Panos Mitrou brings a wealth of knowledge and a clear vision for the future of the GGC. His commitment to fostering a unified global gas sector, amplifying representation on international policy stages, and growing GGC membership align perfectly with the evolving challenges and opportunities in the gas value chain. Under his leadership, the GGC will continue to guide its members through the energy transition, promoting sustainability, collaboration, and innovation.
