Its extensive range of 22 PCTC vessels enables optimal flexibility and can cater for a wide range of cargo, while achieving economies of scale across our network. Neptune’s growing network counts 3,000 port calls covering 1.3 million miles on an annual basis.

We are looking for a skilled Superintendent Electronics to join our team. In this role, you will manage all relevant technical functions across a designated group of vessels, ensuring compliance with international regulations and quality standards set by the company.

Reporting directly to the Technical Senior Manager key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the assigned vessels are high technically operational from the electrical/electronic aspect, based on the quality standards set by the company.
  • Work with purchasing order forms to handle the spare parts of the electrical and electronic parts
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Ensure that electrical related failures, incidents and damages onboard the assigned vessels are properly investigated, and root cause analysis conducted, and corrective actions implemented.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the technical team onboard the assigned vessels and supervise and support the repair and maintenance of the vessels electrical systems.
  • Identify existing electrical systems that should be improved to avoid potential failures. Propose solutions and suggestions for improvements. Follow up on vendors technical and safety bulletins. Coordinate, supervise and oversee the corrective action implementation.
  • Follow up on the computerized PMS system, ensuring proper reporting of works and follow-up of outstanding cases.
  • Frequent travelling abroad, according to the company’s maintenance/technical schedule.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Automation Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a relevant position role, preferably in a Shipping Company
  • Solid understanding of electrical schematics, datasheets for components, and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on experience in wiring and testing electrical and electronic devices and components, especially on bridge equipment.
  • Ability to understand and work with purchasing order forms to handle the spare parts of the electrical and electronic parts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
