TMS Cardiff Gas Ltd. is currently looking to recruit a Purchasing Operator who will be responsible for the purchasing operations of assigned vessels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and register requisitions in the relevant system, and upon confirmation, send them to suppliers to receive the respective offers.
- Prepare all necessary documentation for the transportation of goods to the vessels, including invoices / customs, delivery notes, packing lists and other relevant documents, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Evaluate submitted offers and negotiate terms and conditions to optimize both cost and quality.
- Assess and negotiate with third parties, including ship chandlers and airfreights, to identify the most competitive quotes in terms of quality, time and location, ensuring optimal costs and timely delivery to the vessels.
- Ensure all items are delivered to the respective vessels on time, and evaluate the quality of services provided by suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions, according to TMS Cardiff Gas standards.
- Maintain, update and verify that all shipment records are in accordance with quotations.
- Cooperate with the Accounting department to resolve any discrepancies related to received invoices.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in any discipline; a background in Shipping is a plus but not required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar purchasing/procurement role
- lT literate, especially with MS Office
- Proficient in English, orally and in writing
- High sense of responsibility and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
