ΔΗΛΩΣΗ ΠΡΟΕΔΡΟΥ ΕΝΩΣΗΣ ΕΛΛΗΝΩΝ ΕΦΟΠΛΙΣΤΩΝ, ΜΕΛΙΝΑΣ ΤΡΑΥΛΟΥ
Η σημερινή απόφαση αναβολής στον ΙΜΟ αποτελεί νέα ευκαιρία για τη διαμόρφωση ενός βιώσιμου και αποτελεσματικού διεθνούς πλαισίου, που θα οδηγήσει τη ναυτιλία με ασφάλεια και ρεαλισμό στην πράσινη μετάβαση.
Η μη επίτευξη συμφωνίας ανέδειξε τον διχασμό που προκάλεσε ο υπό ψήφιση κανονισμός του Net-ZeroFramework, στον οποίο οι θέσεις και οι προτάσεις της ναυτιλίας δεν ελήφθησαν επαρκώς υπόψη.
Η ναυτιλία των Ελλήνων, παραμένει σταθερά προσηλωμένη στον κοινό στόχο της απανθρακοποίησης και θα πρωτοστατήσει τεκμηριωμένα και ενωτικά στον παγκόσμιο διάλογο, για τη διαμόρφωση ενός δίκαιου, ρεαλιστικού και εφαρμόσιμου πλαισίου, όπου όλοι οι εμπλεκόμενοι θα αναλάβουν τις ευθύνες που τους αναλογούν στον κοινό δρόμο προς την πράσινη μετάβαση.

Today’s decision to delay the process at the IMO presents a new opportunity to shape a sustainable and effective international framework that will guide global shipping safely and realistically through the green transition.
The lack of consensus highlighted deep rifts over the proposed Net-Zero Framework regulation, where the positions advanced by the shipping industry were not sufficiently taken into account.
Greek shipping remains firmly committed to the shared goal of decarbonisation and is ready to lead constructively, with evidence-based and unifying proposals, in a global effort to shape a fair, practical and enforceable clean plan, where all stakeholders assume their share of responsibility on the collective path toward the green transition.
