A very pleasant ceremony was held on Tuesday, 9 June 2026, during which Dr Michael Ierides, Secretary General of the Cyprus Marine Environment Protection Association, CYMEPA presented the Achievement Prize 2026 to Graduating Cadet Demetra Fotopoulou.
Demetra received this distinction for her outstanding academic achievement, having topped the list with the highest average grade among all graduating classmates in the Bachelor in Nautical Science programme at the Cyprus Maritime Academy.
The award was presented in the presence of Mr Kyriacos Patsalides, Director of Academic Affairs of the Cyprus Maritime Academy, Professor Elias Yfantis and Marc Caramondanis, CYMEPA Technical Officer.
