ΤΟ σημερινό συνέδριο του Marine Money 2023 Greek Shipping Finance Forum 2023, ξεκίνησε με ένα ευχάριστο και ξεχωριστό τρόπο χάρη στην ομιλία του κ. Πέτρου Παππά Chief Executive Officer της εταιρείας Starbulk Carriers Corp. Ο καφές που χύθηκε στο σακάκι του κ. Παππά έκανε τον κ.Χάρη Βαφειά να πεί το γνωστό ελληνικό αστείο: «Είναι γούρι θα πάρεις χρήματα,έως και σαράντα χιλιάδες ευρώ την ημέρα, και εγώ θα πάρω την προμήθεια μου!!» Ας είναι ένα ευοίωνο σημάδι για τη Ναυτιλία, και για την Οικονομία της Ελλάδας γενικότερα.
Η πρώτη ερώτηση ήταν η εξής:

Shipping markets are strong, but economic and regulatory challenges are brewing. Strategic decisions about capital investment need a long runway to profitability. How to grow your business and renew your fleet, assess and mitigate the risks, and come out a winner.
Ο κ. Πέτρος Παππάς απάντησε:
If you allow me, I would also like to talk about the other sectors, very dry I think I will not invest right now in containerships because they are is a big order book I always looked containerships as oligopoly, of cource this oligopoly got prisoners of the market couple years ago nobody expected that the covid we has such an effect so a lot of money was made, Bravo Gianni, but now I will wait on that sector iam more positive than you are but they are all expensive on the dry sights I don’t anything any particular to happen unless if the war in Ukraine stops, then I think we ll see rebuilding make your congetion and that will be good for the market, on the gas Iam not the right person to talk about there not anything to talk about they are expensive vessels we don’t have any expertises so right now I will stay patience, I will not invest to shipping. Iam waiting to see how things go, because we are in a difficult period as well, we don’t know what kind of fuels we ll be using in the future. I would stay at the side back and wait and maybe invest in Real Estate in Greece, I think is the best.
