Minerva Gas Inc. is currently seeking a skilled and highly motivated Vessel Operator to join our team in the Operations department and assist the Company in delivering quality results and ensuring reliable and flawless operations.

Main Purpose: To ensure the efficient operation of the assigned LNGC fleet vessels to maximize their operational performance and ensure commercial commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor assigned vessels’ operational performance and efficient voyage execution as per charter party requirements, commercial commitments, and applicable regulations
  • Monitor and advise the Master on Fuel/boil-off/heel management, cargo condition management, Cargo and ballast operational planning, and performance
  • Ensure that post-fixture support is provided to meet charterers’ requirements
  • Provide support/questionnaires to the Commercial Manager for any pre-fixture issues and liaise with charterers, brokers, agents, etc.
  • Appoint agents according to vessel voyage and check/approve port disbursements and third-party invoices
  • Monitor the correct reporting of fleet vessels
  • Working with internal and external counterparties to ensure the smooth management of ongoing operations, including pre and post operations activities

Requirements

  • Captain Class A or B Certificate of Competency
  • Preferably Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Shipping
  • Sea service as Senior Deck Officer in LNG Vessels
  • Strong business acumen and commercial approach
  • Ability to work in a multinational challenging, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Ability to speak/write English fluently
  • Strong IT and analytical skills
  • Previous office experience in an LNG ship management company will be a plus
