RINA at SMM Hamburg

These days at SMM Hamburg allowed us to connect with clients and partners from the entire shipping community . We also had the opportunity to celebrate the end of successful projects we have recently worked on.

We granted the Approval in Principle to the Verdant project, an initiative by Green Marine (UK) Ltd, Waves Group Ltd and EMEC: European Marine Energy Centre aiming to retrofit a Crew Transfer Vessel with hydrogen fuel cells. We also handed over Approval in Principle certificate to DEX QM PREMIUM LUBRICANTS for their energy-saving and emission-reducing lubricant technology.

Moreover, we issued the Class Approval of voestalpine‘s F550 TMCP toughcore which allows for efficient tank design for medium pressure Liquid CO2 transport. Within the same framework, HB Hunte Engineering GmbH received our Approval in Principle for its innovative LCO2 tank design.

Finally, we met our partners of the GAMMA.EU project and shared some insights into this initiative which is developing and converting a bulk carrier to sail on climate-neutral fuels and green power
