The Angelicoussis Group was honoured this week with the 1st place AMVER Fidelity Award at the annual hashtagAmverAwards ceremony, organised by the International Propeller Club Port of Piraeus. Maran Dry Management (MDM) Operations Manager Captain Stamatis Dimitrakis and Maran Gas Maritime (MGM) Marine Manager Captain Christos Koukoudetsos collected the awards during an evening filled with incredible stories of rescues across the globe.
Our Group has been recognised with this prestigious award for the last decade for upholding the highest standards in safety and seamanship. As a dedicated member of the Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) System, we actively take part in search and rescue operations. Just this year alone, our MGM crew on the MG Psara, MG Amphipolis, MG Hydra and MG Delphi rescued a total of 23 people at sea.
We are proud to be involved with this outstanding programme by the US Coast Guard; and we will continue assisting vessels and people in distress whenever possible.
