How can FuelEU’s new pooling mechanisms be put into practice?

In our last FuelEU Maritime episode of our latest podcast series, host Eirik Nyhus speaks to Jacob Granqvist, Vice President Maritime at Gasum to discuss the intricacies of pooling solutions. Gasum is a key player in the transition to cleaner energy in the maritime sector and in response to the regulation, has offered innovative pooling solutions to under and over-compliant vessels.

During their discussion Eirik and Jacob address the practicalities of pooling arrangements, such as different contract durations that need to be considered, liabilities and how to ensure continuous compliance to all pooling partners. They also take a broader perspective on where the industry stands in its drive to secure low-carbon fuels for future compliance.

This is the final hashtagmaritimeimpact podcast episode of series 8. Visit the Maritime Impact feed to listen to previous episodes in the series for more regulatory insights.
