Honoured to have been a speaker in Israel at an event organised by the Embassy of Cyprus in Israel and Startup Nation Central. Our discussion focused on advanced technologies, cybersecurity, and the immense potential of the 3+1 partnership to unlock opportunities not only for our countries 🇬🇷🇨🇾🇮🇱+🇺🇸, but also for the wider private sector.
During the panel, I had the opportunity to reflect on how emerging technologies, from AI-enabled decision support to multi-network satellite connectivity, are reshaping global industries. We spoke about the need for resilient digital infrastructure, the growing cybersecurity demands on companies and governments, and how cross-disciplinary cooperation is now essential for innovation at scale. I also highlighted that when technology, regulation and private-sector agility come together, we accelerate impact far beyond our individual markets.
My sincere thanks to his Excellency the Ambassador of Cyprus to Israel Kornelios S. KORNELIOU , Sofronis Papageorgiou Head of the Embassy Trade Center in Tel Aviv, the CEO Avi Hasson and the entire team at SNC for the warm welcome and the excellent organisation.
It was a pleasure to meet so many of Israel’s innovative startups, as well as reconnect with valued partners that Tototheo Global collaborates with—such as Cydome and Nir Ayalon . I was also delighted to meet again with Baromar and Sergio Koren , whom I first encountered during my tenure as Chair of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus when they presented to us their innovative energy storage project. Hearing how far the project has progressed was truly encouraging!
The energy, talent and ambition within this ecosystem continue to inspire. I look forward to building even stronger bridges between our tech and innovation communities and to exploring the opportunities ahead.
