Nuclear offers path to net zero

RINA published:

«Nowadays, nuclear energy generates 24% of the EU’s electricity demand, or some 50% of the decarbonized power in the region. Therefore, nuclear power is already an essential part of European decarbonization pathway.

Looking at the future, according to recent studies, more nuclear power would enable a faster decarbonization, and would drive down EU electricity prices.»

Stefano Monti, President of the European Nuclear Society, discusses how nuclear energy can contribute to achieving net-zero goals in the 4th edition of our goZERO magazine. Read the full interview 📖 https://lnkd.in/e2NpGrVV
