The nominations for the SAFETY4SEA Awards are open and we would like to invite you to take part in this year’s process, marking the eleventh consecutive edition dedicated to fostering Safety Excellence & Sustainable Shipping.
You are encouraged to submit your nominations and support initiatives that are making a tangible impact across the maritime industry. The selection process combines open nominations and audience voting, alongside evaluation by an industry panel of experts.
Don’t miss the opportunity to have your voice heard and help recognize industry leaders. The awards ceremony will take place at the Yacht Club of Greece on Wednesday 7th of October 2026, the evening ahead of the 17th SAFETY4SEA Athens Forum.
The Award Categories are:
SAFETY4SEA Sustainability Award
Open for nominations to any organization that contributed towards sustainable shipping
SAFETY4SEA Initiative Award
Open for nominations to any organization or association that sparked, realized, or significantly contributed in any initiative fostering safer and sustainable shipping
SAFETY4SEA Technology & Innovation Award
Open for nominations to any organization that provided a significant technological achievement or breakthrough or significant contribution in any aspect of maritime safety activity
SAFETY4SEA Training Award
Open for nominations to any organization that provided a significant achievement or breakthrough or significant contribution in any aspect of maritime training
SAFETY4SEA Digital Resilience Award
Open for nominations to any organization that implemented robust digital and cyber solutions to ensure secure, reliable, and resilient maritime operations
SAFETY4SEA Tanker Operator Award
Open for nominations to any ship operator of oil or chemical tankers, or gas carriers that demonstrated safety excellence and performance above average in any aspect of maritime activity
SAFETY4SEA Dry Bulk Operator Award
Open for nominations to any ship operator of bulk carriers, or general dry cargo vessels that demonstrated safety excellence and performance above average in any aspect of maritime activity
SAFETY4SEA Rising Leader Award
Open for nominations to any young professional that contributed towards advancing safety practices and innovation as a rising leader in the industr
SAFETY4SEA Personality Award
Open for nominations to any individual that provided industry influence and contributed towards safer shipping throughout his/her career
