In a display of professionalism, M/T ‘Avax’ participated in a life-saving maritime rescue operation on January 9th, 2024. Responding to a request from the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Las Palmas, Canary Islands the crew swiftly located a migrant boat in distress.
The vessel and her crew remained on site, ensuring the safety of 16 individuals aboard the migrant boat until the arrival of the rescue boat Guardamar Concepción Arenal. We are proud of the M/T ‘Avax’ crew for their dedication. Their efforts showcased the values we uphold.
This successful rescue operation underlines our commitment to maritime safety and humanitarian assistance.
