X-Press Feeders has taken delivery of the first methanol dual-fuel retrofitted feeder vessel, the DNV-classed Eco Umande.
The ship, which was constructed to be methanol-ready, was handed over to PaxOcean shortly after its initial construction was complete to undergo a ‘world first’ methanol dual-fuel engine retrofit.
The delivery of the upgraded Eco Umande comes on the back of a completed series of sea trails, which tested the vessel’s new propulsion system.
