Stealth Maritime, one of Greece’s largest shipmanagement companies, is looking for a New Buildings Coordinator to join its Technical Department in Kifissia. The company currently manages a diversified fleet, with 14 newbuildings presently under construction.
The role sits within the Technical Department and involves day-to-day coordination across the full newbuilding cycle — from design and plan approval through construction, trials, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate plan approval submissions and follow up with Classification Society throughout the design and construction phases
- Liaise between shipyard, Class, flag state, and owners on technical matters, ensuring open items are tracked and resolved in a timely manner
- Support the makers’ selection process, including collection and preliminary review of technical offers and equipment proposals
- Review technical documentation and drawings for compliance with contract requirements, Class rules, and applicable regulations
- Monitor newbuilding progress against the construction schedule and follow up on outstanding technical items
- Maintain organised records of approvals, correspondence, comments, and open points throughout each project
Requirements
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in a newbuilding role, technical department, shipyard, or design office
- Good knowledge of Classification Society requirements and shipbuilding procedures
- Ability to read and critically review technical drawings and shipbuilding specifications
- Fluent in English — written and spoken; clear and structured communication is essential
- Organised and methodical, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
