GLOBAL LAUNCH EVENT
The 10th edition of DNV’s Maritime Forecast to 2050 explores how shipping will navigate an increasingly complex and uncertain energy transition. While decarbonization is progressing, uncertainty around regulation and fuel markets is reshaping how the transition unfolds and at what pace.
Global alignment on regulation remains unresolved, with regional measures already driving near‑term decisions on fuel use, operations, and investment. At the same time, the report shows that energy efficiency remains the most immediate and commercially attractive lever, while the development of low‑GHG fuel markets will depend on stronger regulatory demand signals and cost reductions.
Register for our launch event, where lead author Øyvind Sekkesæter will present the key findings of the Maritime Forecast to 2050. The programme features a fireside conversation between IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez and DNV Group President and CEO Knut Ørbeck-Nilssen, followed by a panel of industry leaders discussing the transition, the risks ahead, and the decisions to be made now.
