DNV: The energy transition is becoming a fleet-management challenge as much as a technical challenge

A vessel’s transition strategy cannot be separated from the way it is managed. For shipowners and managers in Cyprus, decisions about compliance, fuel readiness, efficiency measures and fleet renewal are closely connected. A measure that looks attractive in isolation may deliver very different results depending on a vessel’s age, trading pattern, fuel availability, and regulatory exposure.

That is why scenario-based planning matters.

DNV’s Maritime Forecast to 2050 examines how different fleet strategies perform under alternative regulatory and fuel-market futures, helping shipowners make more informed decisions in an uncertain transition.
