A New Partnership Focused on the Marine and Energy Sectors
On 6 and 7 October 2026, TURBOMED S.A. successfully hosted the Garrett MEG200 Technology Workshop at its headquarters in Perama, marking the beginning of its partnership with Garrett Motion, an internationally recognized turbocharger manufacturer.
The Garrett MEG200 turbocharger series was the main focus of the event. Through this series, Garrett Motion is expanding its presence in marine, energy and gas engine applications. Particular emphasis was placed on retrofit solutions for upgrading existing engines and installations, with the aim of improving their performance and reliability.
The new partnership combines Garrett Motion’s advanced technology with TURBOMED’s extensive experience, specialized expertise, and technical capabilities in the marine and industrial sectors.
The two-day event was the first joint technical initiative between the two companies. Across four scheduled sessions, participants included representatives from shipping companies, technical managers, technical superintendents, chief engineers, and other industry professionals.
Garrett representatives, including Hannes Slawik, Industrial Service Leader – Aftermarket, and Ondřej Prášek, Sr. Engineering Manager Motorsport & Aftermarket EU, presented the latest technological developments, followed by a constructive technical discussion.
The MEG200 Technology Workshop represented the first significant step in the TURBOMED – Garrett Motion partnership, laying the foundation for the further development of their joint presence in the marine and energy sectors.
