Dorothea Ioannou delivered the Wednesday keynote speech today at the International Propeller Club of the United States’ 97th Annual Convention and Conference, hosted by The Propeller Club Port of Charleston.
Ms. Ioannou, Chief Executive Officer of the Managers of The American P&I Club and Eagle Ocean Marine, also took part in the panel discussion “Women in Transportation” moderated by Jennifer Hedrick, CAE, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Women In Trucking Association which included Melissa Atkins, Vice President of Linehaul for Southeastern Freight Lines, Lori Fellmer, Senior Executive for BassTech International and Vice Admiral Joanna Nunan 14th Superintendent of the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
Ms. Ioannou also spoke to Gordon Schreck, Distinguished Visiting Adjunct Professor of Admiralty and Maritime Law at the Charleston School of Law, following his presentation “Shipping Lithium Batteries by Sea” on Tuesday, September 26.
