In the maritime and offshore sectors, cyber security threats are on the rise, prompting extensive efforts to safeguard people and vessels against a range of cyber risks. Recently, the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) introduced mandatory cyber security requirements for ships and onboard systems and equipment, UR E26 and E27, set to enter into force on 1 July 2024.
