The 25th International P&I Conference was held at the Piraeus Marine Club

The American P&I Club’s COO, Daniel Tadros, debating the realities of the ever-evolving threat of cyber-risk to maritime operations at the 25th International P&I Conference  yesterday at the Piraeus Marine Club.

Mr. Tadros joined Ludvig Nyhlen, Area Manager – The Swedish Club Greece, to address whether the IT community tends to exaggerate the exposure of most shipowners to cyber-risk, with the exception of those engaged in sophisticated multi-modal logistics. The session was moderated by George D. Gourdomichalis of Moderna Carriers Ltd., Cyprus.

Board Director Joseph Hughes also participated as a special commentator to the overall Conference.

The Marine Club is to be commended for assembling a forum of P&I Club speakers that tackled pressing challenges facing the industry — from casualty response and cyber-risk to underwriting sustainability — with representatives from 11 of the 12 Clubs that make up the International Group taking part.
