bound4blue Completes First eSAIL Installation On Tanker In Turkey

bound4blue has successfully installed its DNV-approved eSAIL® suction sails on the tanker Pacific Sentinel at Besiktas Shipyard in Turkey, marking an important step for Eastern Pacific Shipping’s (EPS) decarbonization efforts.

The installation was completed in less than one day per unit during the vessel’s drydocking, minimizing downtime.

The fast-track installation process, which combined preparatory work with simultaneous sail programming, marked EPS’s first step into wind-assisted propulsion and bound4blue’s first tanker installation.
