From development to full-scale operational testing in Lyon!
Last week, VANOS S.A. participated in the first Full-Scale Trial (FST) of the TeamUP project, hosted by SDMIS and the Laboratoire de Recherche ENSP/Research Laboratory ENSP in Saint-Priest, Lyon.
Following months of development, laboratory testing, and continuous improvement, our Fast Deployable Mass Decontamination System (FDMD) was deployed and tested in near-operational CBRN-E scenarios together with the wider TeamUP project technological ecosystem.
Throughout the week, VANOS supported the deployment and operation of the FDMD, provided hands-on training to practitioners, and worked alongside first responders and project partners to assess its usability and performance under realistic operational conditions.
The trial represented an important step in validating not only the technology itself, but also its rapid deployment, practical operation, and integration within the wider decontamination workflow.
Most importantly, direct interaction with first responders provided valuable operational feedback that will support the final refinement of the system ahead of TeamUP’s second Full-Scale Trial in Athens this October.
A big thank you to our hosts, organisers, first responders, and all TeamUP partners for an intensive and highly collaborative week of testing and exchange.
