A significant milestone in advancing the logistics sector in Piraeus was achieved through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) and the postgraduate Logistics programs of the University of Piraeus, complemented by a parallel agreement with the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy. The agreement was signed by Mr Vasilis Korkidis, President of the PCCI, and Mr Angelos Tsavdaris, President of the Hellenic-Indian Chamber of Commerce and Economy, further reinforcing the prospects of Piraeus as a key logistics hub.
Mr Konstantinos Koronakis, CEO of KORONAKIS Group and President of the Industrial Department of the PCCI, actively contributes to the dialogue on the future of logistics and supply chain development in Piraeus—the city where our company has maintained a continuous presence since its establishment—supporting initiatives that foster innovation, enhance competitiveness, and promote sustainable growth within the logistics and maritime ecosystem.
Initiatives like these, endorsed by key organisations and industry leaders, help foster closer collaboration among academia and the business community, while also reinforcing prospects for stronger bilateral trade relations between Greece and countries worldwide, establishing Piraeus not only as a major port but also as a smart, integrated logistics centre of increasing international significance.
